Last spring, my husband and I planted a Linden tree. I had my eye on one for some time because it reminds me of my childhood in Germany. My father loved the tea made from its flowers.
Linden goes by a few other names. Namely Lime or Basswood.
Linden offers cooling and moisturizing properties. It is classified as a "relaxing nervine". Its taste is naturally sweet (no wonder bees love it!).
It promotes sleep, helps with anxiety, heart health and coughs.
If you are not into herbal infusions, it is also fabulous as a bath additive to help you relax at the end of a busy day.

Not too shabby for such a delicate looking flower!
